George Rogers is a dynamic saxophonist, improviser, and composer from the San Francisco Bay Area, currently studying at the Oberlin Conservatory. Over the years, he has been mentored by numerous jazz legends, including Gary Bartz, Justin Robinson, and Dick Oatts. Rogers has performed at premier venues such as SFJAZZ, Dizzy’s Club, the Concord Jazz Festival, and the Cleveland Museum of Art, sharing the stage with modern-day giants like Wynton Marsalis, Gerald Cannon, and Soweto Kinch. In 2024, his quartet toured the West Coast, performing original music to sold-out audiences. Blending traditional, modern, and avant-garde jazz with popular and experimental influences, Rogers is a rising force in the contemporary jazz scene.
