Recently appointed second and E-flat clarinetist of the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra, Eric Abramovitz is an emerging and exciting artist. Originally from Montreal, Canada, he has been featured as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, and the Quebec City Symphony Orchestra. Eric was the first prize winner of the woodwinds category in the 2011 edition of the OSM (Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal) Standard Life Competition, and recently won the first prize in the woodwind category of the Pasadena Instrumental competition. Eric is currently pursuing a graduate certificate at the University of Southern California where he studies with Yehuda Gilad.
