No editing within a work, movement, piece, song etc is allowed. You may cut out empty audio between movements if needed but no music or playing should be altered in any way. If judges determine that editing has been used applicants may be disqualified.

Download Sharel Cassity’s etude “Thoroughbred”. Charts are available for Eb and Bb. Play 4 choruses: Etude melody 1 chorus, 2 choruses improvised solo (over the chord changes to ‘Stablemates’ in concert Db) and play the etude melody to finish. Tempo should be between 150 and 170 bpm. Use of accompaniment is encouraged.
