Anton Derevyanko is a tenor saxophonist and pianist born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Currently residing in Boston, Anton is a graduate of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute founded by Danilo Perez/Marco Pignataro, where he has played, studied, and worked with Joe Lovano, John Patitucci, George Garzone, Alain Mallet, and many others. Aside from jazz and classical music, Anton’s influences stem from just about every genre. Through his playing and composing, he aims to convey his emotions, stories, and feelings about the world through improvisation and his unique approach to the instrument. Derevyanko is also involved in the world of social and environmental activism in the hopes that his music and beliefs can help bring about equality to our society today.
